Theses tools are based on kmers analysis.
Kmers are short sequences, usually between 20 to 31 pb. They are interesting in bioinformatic because of the graph and text algorithms available. With the kmer properties, you can compress and query large data set (> 1000) very easily.
Transipedia is a webservice around the wonderfull Reindeer tool.
With Reindeer, we can index thousand of RNA-Seq data and query the index in few seconds.
The Transipedia web service is an easy tool to query one or more index at one time. To keep the service available, the queries are limited to 50 Ko.
To query a larger dataset of kmer, you can use the Reindeer tool in the command line :
Reindeer --query -l my_index_path -q my_query
